Silver Eagle Manufacturing Adopts Portland’s Community Transitional School, Delivers Holiday Gifts

Portland, Oregon (12/21/09) - Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company employees spread a little holiday cheer to students at Portland’s Community Transitional School in Northeast Portland, delivering gifts for all 84 students on Dec. 18.

“Our employees and company adopted the entire school, filling the gift lists for every student,” said Jay Wilson, Silver Eagle president and CEO. “We came together as a team to be certain the holidays are bright for everyone.” Two large SUVs delivered the packages to the school. The students will receive a home delivery of the gifts on Christmas Eve.

Situated just blocks from Silver Eagle, CTS is a private school dedicated to the needs of children in grades K-8 whose families are homeless, in transition, and experiencing chronic poverty-related crises. Founded in 1990 as a joint initiative between the Portland YWCA and Portland public schools, CTS serves Portland and East Multnomah County.
