Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company Acquires License for SOLUS Trailer Aerodynamic Products

Portland, Oregon (01/30/07) - Silver Eagle Manufacturing Company, Portland, Oregon and SOLUS Solutions and Technology, LLC, Virginia Beach, Virginia, have reached an exclusive licensing agreement, granting Silver Eagle the rights to manufacture, sell and support certain trailer aerodynamic products developed by SOLUS.

The partnership covers class 6-8 truck applications in the United States . Products will be co-branded Silver Eagle and Powered by SOLUS, and include Vortex Strakes, Cross Flow Vortex Traps, Mini-Skirt Trailer Fairings, Wake Boards and Frame Extensions.

According to the US Department of Energy, class 8 trucks account for up to 12% of total U.S. petroleum consumption; a 12% increase in class 8 fuel economy is possible through aerodynamics.

Trailer aerodynamic products are an important addition to Silver Eagle's offerings to US-based heavy truck and trailer fleets, says Michael King , Vice President, Sales and Support.
